Waking up in the early morning on the train, take another short bus ride then we arrived at Luxembourg~
running in the cold chilling morning from the central station to our hotel, something funny is that, we ask a street cleaner for direction, in english ofcoz, and he reply us fluently, but later on when we are in the restaurant or cafe, we got problem ordering our food! they dont speak english at all wtf...
anyway, check into the hotel, they are so kind to let us in at 8am morning, and we both feel very tired since we didn't get much rest in the train, and we sleep all the way till noon!
only we head out walk towards the center square area~
we was halfway walking and saw this nice fountain~ then it started to rain!!
we got no choice, so we run into a small cafe for some hot chocolate and pastries =D and this is where we got a hard time communicate with the staffs!
but its alright, coz they got some fine pastries in there!
finish eating and the rain stops, we walk around and arrived at the most famous monument in Luxembourg~
Luxembourg's National Treasure, Gella Fra, the Golden Lady
this is a really nice one!!
around the statute, we can overlook the whole Luxembourg~

and there is train passing by down there! people who is afraid of height is not recommended to go near the border~
and i make SJ to take a closer shot of me while he is standing far away from the border =D
been wondering the around the city, im so glad that our hotel is just near by, so we can just walk to whenever we want~
evening, its dinner time, we are too tired to walk, so just had our dinner in our hotel restaurant instead~

this end our first night in Luxembourg...
2nd day early morning, had our breakfast in the hotel, next we need to find our way to Caves St. Martin, one of the best Wine-cellar in Luxembourg.
ask for direction in the main station, they teach us to take their bus to the nearest station and we can walk to Caves St. Martin.
hop on a bus, about 40min drive, we arrived at the destination~ this is a beautiful lake side with lots goose and swans!
so tempted to chase over them!! but SJ stop me and said they'll bite :(

there is a long pathway for us to walk beside the lake, there is about 15min walk away from the Caves St. Martin
glad that we are having great weather too!
finally we found it!! well its hard to miss anyway with the huge wine bottle over there..
this is the entrance to the wine-celler~ this is a natural caves and they transform it since 1921!
they are so nice to give us a tour even its just the 2 of us!! Private tour yo! our guide is explaining about the process of making wine, and showing us all the equipment they used in the modern days/
this is all the new equipment
and this is an old wine barrel from the old time, but just for display only, its no longer suitable to use now.
and the steels replace those wine barrels~
oh even concrete wall too!! there is fully filled with wine behind all these walls!!
again our guide is teling us how they make the wine and those transferring process during it, and then, the process of making the sparkling wine~ Champagne is it!

there is total 2 glasses of different wine and glass of champagne for each of us to taste
nice~!
its so unfair that with only 7 or 8 Euros here we can get a bottle of top grade wine! super cheap!! but in malaysia, paying RM200 still you might not be satisfy with it :(
consider of the weight, and there is still 2 more stops for our journey, we only bought 2 bottles.... but if can, both of us really wish to bring back few cartons boxes of wine back with us!!
well guess this is the best thing we got in Luxembourg!
we walk back to the bus station and take a ride back into the city centre, its already getting late when we reach back, one more night in Luxembourg then we need to leave early in the morning~ Just a short stay in this country, and the we moved on to our next destination!!
