Hey everyone! Are you familiar with Walt Disney? do you know that he has a signature castle of Disney which it can be found in all the disneyland over the world?
it look like this! this is the castle from their famous cartoon "Sleeping Beauty", and since then, it remains as the castle of Disneyland!
and now, im gonna show you the REAL disney castle! which is this one!! Neuschwanstein Castle! (New Swan Castle)
Great to know that right? Neuschwanstein Castle act as the model castle and inspired Walt Disney when creating the image of his own Disney Castle, very much base of this!
This is one of the most famous castle in Europe, there is already over 60million people visited Neuschwanstein castle, more then 1million people a year travel to the Bravaria to visit Neuschwantein Castle, and it is also one of the most photographed building in the world!
and i am here too for my dream castle!!
continue from my previous post, im in Fussen for the 2nd day, visited Hohenschwangau Castle in the morning~ and now I go to eat some ice cream before my next tour start!
again, we hop on a horse carriage to our destination!
our carriage tickets~
Neuschwanstein Castle is up high on the hill, we can walk all the way there but its gonna be tiring!
ARRIVED!! Okay this is just the outside wall of the castle..
its HUGE!
the entrance
Rae is here in Neuschwanstein Castle =D
we walk into the central square, and lots of people is there waiting for their tour to begin~
so many people!!
its not our turn yet, so we get to walk around the castle area
walk to the stairs and here we are at the upper court
gorgeous isn't it? King Ludwig II died far before the castle is near its completion. and it open to public for viewing after 7 weeks of his death, and there is no plan to complete the work of finishing the castle, imagine how beautiful it is if all the work is done and all the parts is complete!! what a waste!!
me and SJ
love this shot of us~
we got plenty of time in here admiring the castle
how sad is it that King Ludwig slept only 11 nights in the castle. The king moved into the still unfinished building, only in one of his room which is finished and furnished, so he could live there during his visit to watch the further work of the castle. and it took 2 more years until the outside of the palace was nearly finished, but the interior was never completed.
got our tickets and patiently waiting
again try to capture the full view of the castle
and the center court too
finally its our turn for the tour to begin~! As usual no photo taking is allowed inside the castle~
here is some photo i found on the internet of the interior~ superb amazing!
tour finish, we arrived at the Castle Kitchen area which we can finally take some photos
the view from the castle
so this is those kind of view you got if you are a King
breath taking isn't it?
and the unfinished part of wall
its all left unfinished since the King died
hi-tea in the castle cafe
all these is all unfinished, the ceiling is still plain and no decoration on it yet
the kitchen
water pipe! they manage to transfer the water from the Alps for the castle use! how luxury is that!
the full model of Neuschwanstein Castle
before we left, we got ourself some souvenir! SJ know that i love Neuschwanstein Castle so much, but its kind of stupid to hang a poster of it, so we get a puzzle instead!!
next we couldn't decide on which season looks better, Autumn or Winter? so hard to choose! so we just get BOTH!! YIPPIE!
and ofcoz my favorite books of my favorite castle! love the stories behind these!
cant wait to read it once we are back in the hotel =D
Finally its dinner time~ checking out on the photo that we took during our visit
here is our 4 course meal of the day!
Starter : Praline of Duck Liver with Truffle Vinaigrette
matching red wine
Our Soup : Deer essence
and...
Main Course : Rare Rosted Lamb on Black Root Vegetables and Cream Polenta
I am not a Lamb person, or i should say that i will normally avoid every possible way to eat lamb for my whole life, even wifey keep asking me to try for many times, but i really cant take the smell of it. and this time my main course is lamb steak, in rare rosted omfg....
but hey! Challenge accepted! look at the bloody pink lamb O.O
i keep thinking that wifey must be very surprise if she know that i actually ate this!! and i finish about 3/4 of the lamb, and honestly! its really not bad! dont have those awful smell that i used to hate back in malaysia, i will normally starting to vomit ady when i take the first bite even it 100% cooked! but this taste okay for me!! so happy that i can finally accept eating the lamb!
Lastly, our dessert : Bavarian Cream with Pepper Cheeries
this is a short stop motion video of me and SJ completing the puzzle =D
here end my lovely night~~!!
