30th August 2009
7am sharp, we got a morning call. struggle hard to get up from bed, can feel that both leg still shaking~ Quickly get ready, breakfast at hotel buffet restaurant, we leave the hotel at 9am.
Our first stop for the day is to visit the great emperor's house~ The Forbidden City. Not taking too long to get there from our hotel, the forbidden city located at the center of Beijing.
Its amazing to see that these few hundred years old building still maintain well, and we can also see that how luxury is the palace through the material they use to built it~

We walk straight line from the entrance to the end, it takes us about 3 hours~ Gosh imagine how the ancient people who actually live inside?? What about the servant? The kind need to walk 10 min just to visit his mom.. Lol but what can we say.. This is one of the way to show the different between the king & the civil resident.. huhuhu...
We lunch at around 1pm, this restaurant located at some small alley near the forbidden city. It is modify from a house who owned by a lord. This is the most delicious meal we had for the whole trip~ They got this dish is one of the recipe from this novel - 红楼梦. The owner told us that there is only 3 restaurant in the whole Beijing who know how to make this dish. And guess what, it taste GREAT~!

Finish eating, Miss Ta arrange us to ride the tricycle. They bring us to look at the very typical alley (胡同) in china which still maintain the same like few hundred years ago. And then we visit a house 四合院, which is also some typical building structure since very long time ago.
We pass by a street full of western style bar and pub, they called it BAR STREET~ Its just beside the river, windy, and with very nice view~ We stop by and took some pic, then we continue to visit another palace who used to own by the most greedy person every in china.
In ancient time, the great emperor will need to have some ceremony to pray for the whole country, make wish or thanks to the God for the peace of the whole country, and sometimes, the emperor will have to "report" the situation of the country to the God. So they got this specific place and building for the King to do all these things..
Walk for the whole day already, everyone eat alot at the dinner , again, 10 dishes is on the table, we finish eating, and go for foot massage at the hotel lobby~ Ow what a day.. Day 3.. end~
